According to leaked reports, the iPhone 15 lineup, which includes iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, will be launched in September this year. Moreover, these new iPhones would feature larger capacity battery packs and new color options, including “crimson.”
ITHome’s report cited on Foxconn says that a 3,877mAh battery pack, larger than the 3,279mAh battery in iPhone 14, would power iPhone 15. The iPhone 15 Plus features a 4,912mAh battery, anticipated to be one of the largest battery packs in the entire iPhone lineup, while the iPhone 14 Plus currently has a 4,323mAh battery.
Additionally, the expensive model of the iPhone 15 series, the iPhone 15 Pro, will boast 3,650mAh and iPhone 15 Pro Max will have a 4,852mAh battery. On the other hand, the current models of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max pack 3,200 and 4,323mAh batteries, respectively.
The upcoming iPhone 15 lineup will sport a larger battery compared to existing models of iPhones. Out of these, iPhone 15 Plus may have a bigger battery pack than iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Before this update, Apple announced that the entire series of iPhone 15 would feature a 48-megapixel primary camera sensor. Last year, iPhone 14 series was introduced in the market; iPhone 14 and 14 Plus had a 12-megapixel primary camera sensor, while the iPhone 14 Pro lineup was equipped with a 48-megapixel of the main camera.
Recently, an image of the upcoming iPhone 15 series also surfaced online, indicating a large cutout for the camera module and some major changes to the button layout. These leaked reports also underline that iPhone Pro may have a titanium frame, and this entire series can be priced from $925 (approx Rs 76,300).
The base models, iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus would have an A16 Bionic chip, while the expensive variants, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, will sport an upgraded and more advanced A17 Bionic SoC.
With a larger battery pack, 48-megapixel of the primary camera sensor, and high-performance chipset, the iPhone 15 series would surely strengthen Apple's position in the premium smartphone segment.
