iPhone 18 to Feature Samsung Ultrawide Camera Sensor

Apple plans to use Samsung's 48MP 1/2.6-inch ultrawide camera sensor for the iPhone 18 series, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. This marks a shift from Apple's exclusive use of Sony sensors for its iPhones' wide, ultrawide, and telephoto lenses. The iPhone 17, launching in 2025, might be the last to solely feature Sony sensors. While Apple maintains high standards, the impact on camera quality remains uncertain.
