iPhone 7 Trade-In: Unlock Up to Rs 29,000 Towards a New Device

Apple has agreed to pay $35 million to resolve a lawsuit in the United States about audio difficulties with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The settlement might pay up to $349 (about Rs 29,000) to qualifying individuals afflicted by a chip malfunction. However, this settlement does not apply to Indian inhabitants.

Between September 16, 2016 and January 3, 2023, US iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus users who charted sound-affiliated enterprises to Apple or paid for repairs out of funds might be eligible for payment.These persons might be members of the "agreement Class" and earn a "Class Payment."

iPhone repair bills may result in a return of up to $349, while those who did not pay repair costs may be compensated for up to $125. These sums are subject to court approval in California, which is expected on July 18.

In 2019, Apple received lawsuits from US consumers regarding audio difficulties with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, alleging infringement of consumer protection laws. Despite agreeing to a settlement, Apple denies wrongdoing, and the court has yet to decide if either party's allegations are legal.
