Ahead of its India launch, iQOO has confirmed that the iQOO 15R will feature a 7,600mAh battery, which is larger than the 7,000mAh cell found in the standard iQOO 15. Despite the large battery capacity, the company claims the phone measures just 7.9mm in thickness, positioning it as the slimmest smartphone in the 7,600mAh segment in India.
According to iQOO, the handset has been designed to feel lightweight and comfortable in hand, despite the high-capacity battery.
The iQOO 15R will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, built on a 3nm process. As per the company, the processor delivers:
iQOO also claims that the device has crossed 3.5 million points on AnTuTu, placing it among the top-performing smartphones in its price segment.
A dedicated microsite hints that the iQOO 15R will be positioned as the fastest smartphone under Rs. 55,000 in India. This puts it in direct competition with the OnePlus 15R, which launched in December 2025 starting at Rs. 47,999 and uses the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor.
iQOO has confirmed that the iQOO 15R will be available in a Dark Knight colour variant. A blue colour option has also been teased, although its official name has not yet been revealed.
The iQOO 15R is scheduled to launch in India on February 24. More details regarding pricing, availability, charging specifications, and camera features are expected to be revealed closer to the launch.
