However, Jio Cinema surpassed this record, establishing a new global benchmark for digital sports viewing. Jio Cinema garnered over 1.5 billion video views in the first seven weeks of this year's IPL, setting a remarkable milestone.
To capitalize on the IPL's growing popularity, Reliance Jio introduced a paid subscription plan for Jio Cinema, allowing users to access exclusive content similar to platforms like Disney Plus Hotstar, Amazon Prime, and Netflix. Jio has also partnered with HBO and Warner Brothers, enabling users to enjoy content from these platforms on Jio Cinema. The subscription is available for Rs 999.
