MacRumors reports that some users report only one line on their screen, while others share photos of multiple green lines scattered across their display. Most of these users started reporting these issues after the iOS 16.2 update. Note that these lines automatically disappear after a few seconds. However, it's annoying to see bugs like this on Apple's top-of-the-line iPhone.
It's also interesting that the bug only affected iPhones with dynamic islands. This reiterates the fact that it could be a software issue. Additionally, this is not a widespread issue, only some users have reported it. Some users who experienced this error contacted Apple, who confirmed that it was caused by a software bug and that there was nothing wrong with the iPhone's hardware. Apple is currently testing iOS 16.3 and it may be released in January 2023.
Before that, the company may issue an incremental software update to fix the green line issue on iPhone 14 Pro series smartphones. The green line issue may be limited to the latest Pro models, but Apple plans to provide an update to all iPhones running iOS 16.
