The release of these new MacBooks is expected to coincide with the release of macOS Ventura 13.3 and iOS 16.3, which will be released in early February and March respectively.

According to Gurman, the company's recent earnings announcement is further proof that a revamped MacBook Pro won't be released this year.

Apple CEO Tim Cook claims the company's product line-up business is "ready" for the holiday season, but Chief Financial Officer Luca Maestri said in December that he expects Mac sales to "decline significantly" in the future.

When the tech giant unveiled the MacBook Pro last October, those devices boosted Mac sales by $10.9 billion, but it doesn't look like the company is expecting the same this year. The M2 Max chip is rumoured to feature 12 CPU cores and up to 38 GPU cores, an upgrade from the M1 Max's 10 CPU cores and up to 32 GPU cores.
