In a press statement, Oppo stated that starting in 2023, it will provide selected flagship models with 4 years of Android updates and 5 years of security updates. The company has also admitted that the distribution of ColorOS 13 was quicker than that of earlier ColorOS versions.
August saw the release of Android 13 and, around the same time, Oppo unveiled ColorOS 13, the ColorOS 12's replacement. According to Oppo, 33 phones have received the ColorOS 13 since it was released.
As a result, ColorOS was the "quickest and biggest" upgrade of the brand's unique skin ever. In comparison to ColorOS 12, ColorOS 13 is compatible with and available for more than half of mobile devices.
Oppo's ColorOS 13 offers a number of upgrades and features. It includes usability characteristics and particularly focuses on simplicity. It delivers a visual upgrade with its Aquamorphic design. According to rumours, the concept was motivated by the skyline's colour change between sunrise and sunset.
The UI of the OS is laid out in a card-style, and it makes improvements to Control Center, AOD, and other features. Quantum Animation Engine, AES, Spotify for AOD, multi-screen connectivity, and more features are included.
The Oppo Find X6 series will probably support this new update plan, even though Oppo hasn't confirmed any specific flagship devices.
Next year, the Find X6 is anticipated with a hot specs sheet. It will have a triple camera system with a Hasselblad brand and a 120Hz refresh rate display.
A 50 MP Sony IMX890 main lens, a 50 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope lens with 3x optical zoom would all be included in the gadget. It will presumably include the MariSilicon X ISP. It will likely have a 5,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging and be powered by the Snapdragon flagship CPU.
In other news, Oppo has unveiled its next generation of foldable devices, the Oppo Find N2 and Find N2 Flip, while there is no news about the release of Find N2 globally, the Find N2 Flip is expected to come in global markets including India (click here to read more).
