The phone has been listed on the Chinese patent site CNIPA, which gives us a glimpse of its design. The Oppo Rollable Phone initially looks like a simple bar phone with a sleek and elegant design. However, when the phone is rolled out, the triple rear camera emerges from the backside, and the display becomes bigger. This design innovation not only enhances the visual experience but also allows for more creative and functional camera features.
Moreover, the phone's design incorporates an invisible selfie camera, which is not visible anywhere on the screen. This is a breakthrough feature that can potentially revolutionize the smartphone industry. With the screen being bigger than the front, the camera comes out openly from the back, making it easy to use for photography enthusiasts.
One of the best things about this design is that the back panel does not separate directly from both sides. Instead, Oppo has tried to give a little new style to it, which makes it special. Additionally, the phone has hardware buttons on the side panel, including the volume rocker and power button. At the bottom, you see the loudspeaker grill and the USB Type-C port.
This rollable phone of Oppo has been listed on China’s certification site China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), which gives us an idea that the company has made progress on this concept. Although the patent for this design was filed in December 2021, it has been approved on 14 April. This indicates that the company can start working more actively on this design, and we can expect to see the launch of the Oppo Rollable Phone in the near future.
