Realme has unveiled its latest affordable smartwatch, the Watch 5, in India today, offering a blend of premium features like a bright AMOLED screen and built-in GPS at an entry-level price. Aimed at fitness enthusiasts and everyday users, this wearable emphasizes health tracking, connectivity, and durability. Launched alongside the P4x 5G smartphone, it's part of Realme's push for accessible tech in the country, with manufacturing under the Make in India initiative.
The Realme Watch 5 carries a maximum retail price of Rs. 4,499, but early buyers can grab it at an introductory offer of Rs. 3,999. It comes in four vibrant color options: Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, Mint Blue, and Vibrant Orange. The first sale kicks off on December 10 at 12 Noon through Realme's official website, Flipkart, and select offline retail channels.
Featuring a metallic unibody construction with an aluminum-alloy functional crown and honeycomb speaker holes, the Watch 5 is built for comfort and style. It includes removable 22 mm 3D-Wave straps made from skin-safe materials and has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, having passed four extreme durability tests.
The highlight is the 1.97-inch AMOLED display with a 390x450 pixel resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and up to 600 nits brightness for clear visibility outdoors. It boasts a 79% screen-to-body ratio, 2D flat Panda Glass protection, Always-on Display, and over 300 customizable watch faces.
Powered by a 460mAh battery, the smartwatch delivers up to 16 days of usage in standard mode or an extended 20 days in Light Mode. It supports up to 12 hours of Bluetooth calling, making it reliable for all-day connectivity without frequent charging.
The Watch 5 packs 108 sports modes with guided workouts, stretching tools, auto detection, and VO2 Max estimation, all synced via the Realme Link app. It includes independent GPS supporting five satellite systems for accurate route tracking without a phone.
Health features cover heart rate monitoring, SpO2 levels, sleep analysis, stress tracking, menstrual cycle management, women's health insights, and three breathing exercises. A Game Guardian mode monitors health during gaming sessions.
Stay connected with Bluetooth calling, NFC for card scanning, music controls, intercom features, and a built-in compass. It also offers a personal coach for tailored advice.
At this price point, the Realme Watch 5 competes strongly in the budget smartwatch segment, offering premium perks like GPS and long battery life. Ideal for active lifestyles, it's a step up for users upgrading from basic fitness bands. Head to Flipkart or Realme stores on December 10 to experience it firsthand.
