The Redmi Turbo 5 series, comprising the Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max, is set to launch in China on January 29 at 7pm local time (4:30pm IST). Xiaomi’s sub-brand will unveil the smartphones alongside the Redmi Buds 8 Pro and the Redmi Pad 2 Pro Harry Potter Edition. All upcoming products are already listed for pre-order on the Xiaomi China online store.
Xiaomi has officially confirmed several core specifications of the Redmi Turbo 5 ahead of launch. The handset will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset and feature an advanced 3D Ice-Sealed Circulation Cooling Pump, claimed to deliver three times better heat dissipation than conventional VC cooling systems.
The phone will sport a 6.59-inch 2K Samsung M10 OLED display, enhanced with Xiaomi Green Mountain Eye Protection and Super Sunlight Screen technology for improved outdoor visibility.
In terms of battery, the Redmi Turbo 5 will pack a 7,560mAh cell with support for 100W wired fast charging, 27W wired reverse charging, and 100PPS programmable power supply. The device will feature a metal middle frame, 2.5D glass back, and carry IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications for high-level dust and water resistance. It will be offered in orange and silver colour options.

The Redmi Turbo 5 Max will share the same 6.59-inch 2K OLED display, delivering up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. It will be powered by a more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset and include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for enhanced security.
