Release of Apple Watch Ultra 3 Is Uncertain for Next Year, says Ming-Chi Kuo

Upcoming 'Scary Fast' presentation from Apple is expected to unveil new MacBook Pro and iMac models. But according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple may wait until 2024 to deliver the next generation Apple Watch Ultra 3, instead concentrating on iPads and AirPods in the meantime.

The iPhone 15 series and Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 were introduced at Apple's 'Wanderlust' event in September. However, Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at TF Securities, revealed that development on the Apple Watch Ultra 3 has not yet started, raising questions on when it would be released.

Kuo cautions that Apple may postpone the debut of the Apple Watch Ultra 3 until 2024 if it does not begin development on the device by December. According to Kuo, Apple may be taking its time releasing its smartwatches because it needs more time to create novel health management capabilities, assure viability, and resolve issues with Micro LED production.

If no new model is released the following year, the analyst projects a 20–30% drop in Apple Watch Ultra shipments in 2024, with overall shipments possibly falling by 10% to 35 million devices.

In March 2024, Apple is set to release updated versions of the iPad Air, iPad mini, and iPad entry- level iPad. Apple fans will be waiting impatiently for the company's advertisement of a redesigned 24- inch iMac and a bigger Pro model with a 32- inch display in late 2024 or early 2025. There will be no Ultra Apple Watch model until 2024.

With the release of two new fourth- generation AirPods and an updated version of the premium AirPods Max headphones, Apple is arranging to modernize its AirPods collection with USB Type- C charging, a new design, and major advancements to audio quality.

Following the release of watchOS 10.1, Apple has improved the functionality of its most recent smartwatches by adding the double tap capability. This enables caller response, message replying, and action execution on the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2.
