Samsung is reportedly gearing up to extend its Galaxy S25 lineup with the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge. Samsung is expected to launch its Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone in May 2025. However, before its official launch, a major leak came into the spotlight, which highlighted the key features and price of the handset. It can be powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite chip as other S25 models and possibly be the only model with a camera setup instead of three.
German publication WinFuture has shared leaked specifications about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone. It stated that the handset will sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a variable 120Hz refresh rate and a slim profile of 5.85 mm with a weight of 163g. The handset is rumored to feature a titanium frame with glass on the front and back, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It could also have an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner in the display and an IP68 rating for dust and water splash resistance.
The upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge will receive the same Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy SoC paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. The phone may ship with Android 15-based One UI 7. On the rear panel, the handset will house a dual camera setup including a 200-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and 85-degree field-of-view and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 120-degree FoV. Additionally, the handset will feature a 12-megapixel front camera with an f/2.2 aperture and an 80-degree FoV.
The Galaxy phone will have several connectivity options like Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, and pack a 3900mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is anticipated to be priced at EUR 1,249 (approx Rs 1,19,000) for the 256GB variant in Germany, while it can be priced at EUR 1,369 (approx Rs 1,30,000) for a 512GB option. Based on pricing, the handset can sit between Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra in the brand’s premium phone lineup.
Additionally, the handset can be offered in three color options: Titanium Jet Black, Titanium Icy Blue, and Titanium Silver.
