New images have surfaced showing dummy units of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 and the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. These images provide a clear comparison of the design differences between the two upcoming foldable smartphones. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, previously referred to as the Fold8, is taller and features a triple-camera system on the rear. In contrast, the standard Galaxy Z Fold8 is shorter, has a dual-camera setup, and includes a wider folding screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio.
The latest dummy units highlight the physical differences between the Galaxy Z Fold8 and the Fold8 Ultra. The Fold8 Ultra stands out with its increased height and an additional rear camera, making it distinct from the standard Fold8. Both devices appear to have whitish rear panels in the images, but earlier photos from the same source suggest a possible blue color variant. It remains unclear if the color difference is due to lighting or if Samsung will offer multiple color options.
The Galaxy Z Fold8's wider display with a 4:3 aspect ratio sets it apart from previous models. This design choice aims to provide a more expansive viewing experience when the device is unfolded. The Fold8 Ultra, while taller, maintains a more traditional foldable screen ratio but benefits from the enhanced camera system.
According to the latest information, the Galaxy Z Fold8 will feature a 4,800 mAh battery. It will support 45W fast charging, which should allow for quicker power-ups compared to earlier models. The device will also include a new 50MP camera that offers native support for 24MP mode, providing users with more flexibility in capturing high-quality images.
Both the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra are expected to have minimal display creases. Sources claim that the crease visibility will be comparable to that of the Oppo Find N6, which is known for its subtle fold line. This improvement could enhance the user experience by making the unfolded screen appear smoother and more seamless.
The side-by-side images of the dummy units do not reveal any new features but help illustrate how the two models differ in size and camera configuration. The Fold8 Ultra's triple-camera system and taller design may appeal to users seeking advanced photography capabilities and a larger device. Meanwhile, the standard Fold8's wider screen and dual-camera setup offer a different balance of usability and portability.
Samsung has not yet confirmed all specifications or color options for the Galaxy Z Fold8 series. However, the new images and reported features suggest that both models will bring notable improvements in design, display, and camera technology. More details are expected as Samsung prepares for the official launch of the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra.
