According to the report, out of the total number of displays ordered, Samsung will likely supply Apple with 80 million of its OLED panels. On the other hand, LG expects to ship 20 million units and BOE expects to ship 6 million units.
That being said, Samsung supplies panels for all models in the iPhone 14 series, so their Apple display has an advantage over other vendors. LG offers an LTPS display for the iPhone 14 and an LTPO panel for the iPhone 14 Pro Max, while BOE only offers an LTPS display for the standard iPhone 14. The report also mentions that at least 60 million of 80 million units shipped by Samsung will be for the high-end Pro models of the iPhone 14 series. LG is also suffering from production problems, which may be one of the main reasons why Samsung has become Apple's main supplier of OLED displays, the report adds.

Apple released the iPhone 14 series a few months ago, and the company has reportedly begun work on its next-generation smartphone. The iPhone 15 series of devices will also use OLED displays. Recent rumours suggest that the company will launch a new iPhone SE in 2024, which could boast a 6.1-inch OLED display and a new design. Additionally, Apple plans to introduce a new iPad model with OLED displays in 2024.
