At Galaxy Unpacked 2025, Samsung has unveiled its new Z Fold 7 smartphone. The new book-style foldable phone sports the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset. Compared to previous generation Samsung foldable smartphones in India, the newly introduced Samsung Z Fold 7 is thinner and lighter, measuring only 4.2 mm in thickness in the unfolded state and weighing only 215 grams.
Samsung has equipped the handset with a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 200-megapixel primary sensor. The device also has Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protection on the cover display and is backed by a 4,400 mAh battery pack. In India, the South Korean smartphone brand has opened pre-order bookings for its new foldable smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 foldable smartphone price in India starts from Rs 1,74,999 for the 12 GB + 256GB variant, whereas the 12GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB variants are priced at Rs 1,86,999 and Rs 2,10,999, respectively. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is available in Jetblack, Silver Shadow, and Blue Shadow colorways. Additionally, there will also be an online exclusive Mint color option for the Indian customers.
The pre-booking for Galaxy 7 Fold 7 can be made from Samsung’s official website, with sales confirmed to start on July 25. As part of the pre-order offer, customers can buy the 12GB + 512GB variant at the price of the 256GB option. However, the offer is valid till July 12.

The all-new Galaxy Z Fold 7 foldable phone ships with Android 16-based One UI 8 OS. It packs an 8-inch QXGA+ (1,968x2,184 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2x Infinity Flex Display on the inside with a 120Hz refresh rate, 368 ppi pixel density, and up to 2600 nits of peak brightness. The external screen has a 21:9 aspect ratio, while the device has Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protection on the cover display and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the rear.
The latest foldable smartphone from Samsung is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of onboard storage. It also features Armor FlexHinge and several AI features like Gemini Live, AI Results View, Circle to Search, and Drawing Assist.
The handset comes with a triple rear camera setup, including a 200-megapixel primary sensor with Quad Pixel autofocus, OIS support, and an 85-degree field of view. It also comprises a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom. In front, there is a 10-megapixel camera on the cover display and a 10-megapixel camera on the inner display. Samsung has also equipped the smartphone with its new version of ProVisual Engine.
For connectivity, the device has 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4 Sensors along with accelerometer, barometer, gyro sensor, geomagnetic sensor, hall sensor, light sensor, and proximity sensor. The phone features side side-mounted fingerprint sensor for user authentication and gets s advanced Armor Aluminum frame. Similar to the previous Galaxy Z Fold 6, it also features an IP48 water and dust resistance rating.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 has a 4,400mAh battery with 25W charging support. Samsung claims that the device can be charged 0-50% in 30 minutes with a 25W adapter and also supports Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 and Wireless PowerShare. In terms of build and design, it's said to be thin and lightweight compared to predecessors, measuring only 4.2 mm in thickness, 8.9 mm when folded, and weighing around 215 grams.
