Expected to launch next week, a new leaked render has revealed the color options and design of the upcoming Sony Xperia 1 VII smartphone. The handset will likely receive the familiar design of other Sony smartphones. It's expected to feature Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and 12GB of RAM. While the launch date is not yet confirmed, the Sony Xperia 1 VI successor will be available in three color options.
Based on shared render images by Android Headlines, the Sony Xperia 1 VII smartphone will be launched in three color options: Black, Green, and Purple. In terms of design, the handset will retain its similar styling and camera layout with minor upgrades. The back panel will feature a triple camera layout in the top left corner and dual LED flash.
The publication also revealed that the ultrawide and primary camera sensors will be positioned on the top of the vertically aligned camera module. It will have the volume rocker and power button on the right edge of the smartphone. The Xperia 1 VII will be equipped with Sony's Bravia technology and have Sunlight mode, along with a 5,000mAh battery claimed to offer 2 days of battery life.
A previous report highlighted that Sony could offer a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC from Qualcomm paired with 12GB RAM. The smartphone is expected to ship with Android 15 OS and can be launched at Sony's upcoming launch event scheduled for May 13.
The Sony WH-1000XM6 launch date is confirmed for May 13 at 9 am PDT (9:30 pm IST), and on the same day, the brand can also unveil its Xperia 1 VII smartphone. While more details of the WH-1000XM6 are yet to be announced, the upcoming launch can debut with a Sony QN3 processor capable of offering improved audio quality and active noise cancellation performance.
