Standardizing the Charge: India to Enforce USB-C Port for Electronics by 2025

India is considering implementing a USB-C standard charging connector for smartphones and tablets by June 2025, following the lead of the EU. This seeks to eliminate e-waste and make charging easier for consumers. Laptops may follow in 2026, with feature phones, wearables, and some Apple gadgets now excluded.
