These two 5G phones have similar features with minor differences, but the price difference between the two devices is quite significant. The Phantom V Fold is priced at less than Rs 90,000 in India, making it the most affordable foldable phone in the country. As part of the launch offer, the brand is also offering it at a much lower price. You can find everything you need to know about it here.
Tecno's latest offering, the Phantom V Fold, is available in India at a starting price of Rs 88,888 in a single variant. On April 12, the device will be sold at a discounted price of Rs 77,777, with an additional Rs 5,000 off for HDB bank cardholders. In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is priced at Rs 1,54,998 in India. Despite the substantial price difference, it remains to be seen if Tecno can provide the same level of user experience as Samsung's foldable phones. A comprehensive review will be provided after we have the opportunity to test it.
The Tecno Phantom V Fold comes with a two-year warranty, a complimentary trolley bag valued at Rs 5,000, and a one-time free screen replacement within six months. Customers will also receive a free fibre protective case with a stand.

Tecno claims that their foldable phone has an innovative aerospace-grade drop-shaped hinge that uses fixed-axis rotation and sliding technology with a reverse snap structure, resulting in a smooth folding and crease-free experience. While the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 has similar features, the Tecno Phantom V Fold has a different chipset, faster charging technology, and battery capacity.
The phone is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9000+ chipset with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage, which is not the latest version. It has a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support, which is larger and faster than Samsung's 4,400mAh battery with 25W fast charging support and a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
The Tecno Phantom V Fold has a 6.42-inch FHD+ LTPO outer AMOLED display and a 7.65-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED foldable display with a resolution of 2296 x 2000 pixels. The foldable display can automatically adjust the refresh rate from 10Hz to 120Hz based on the content displayed.
In terms of camera, the phone has a triple camera setup at the back, including a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 50-megapixel 2x portrait camera. When unfolded, there is a 32-megapixel camera on the outer screen and a 16-megapixel sensor on the front. The phone also has an in-display fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers.
