Tecno unveiled its new flagship smartphone series, the Phantom X2, at an event in Dubai. The company launched the Phantom X2 and Phantom X2 Pro. Both smartphones are powered by his MediaTek Dimesity 9000 chipset and promise an improved camera experience.
Speaking of the launch in India, Tecno CEO Arijeet Talapatra confirmed to The Times of India - Gadgets Now that the smartphone will launch in India in the first week of January. “We will launch the smartphones in the first week of January in India and by the end of January the smartphones will be available online and offline across the country,” said Talapatra.
Along with the two smartphones, Tecno also unveiled its latest laptop, the Megabook S1, at the same event. The lightweight laptop is powered by a 12th generation Intel Core i7 processor and runs on the Windows 11 operating system. While discussing the launch of the smartphone in India, Talapatra told Gadgets Now that the company will launch the smartphone in India next year. He added that Tecno could launch the Megabook S1 in India in the first half of 2023.
“The company will initially launch the laptop in Africa. However, the company has received a great response from consumers so there are chances that we will launch the laptop in the first half of 2023. Also, we will launch the laptop in some markets initially like Delhi and Mumbai to get the feedback and later on it will be made available pan India.”
According to Talaparta, Tecno will also introduce its smartwatch, TWS and other wearables, marking Tecno's entry into the wearable segment in India by the first half of 2023.
