Key Features and Specifications

The Vertu AlphaFold features a 6.53-inch cover display and an 8.05-inch inner display. Vertu designed these screens to help users review complex contracts, track operational dashboards, and compare balance sheets more efficiently than on standard bar-format phones.

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. It does not use the newer Gen 5 chip. Security is enhanced by an A5 chip, which stores sensitive credentials and cryptographic keys separately. The device includes safeguards to prevent the AI from making financial transfers or changing critical data without human approval.

The AlphaFold supports two-way satellite communication, allowing users to stay connected even outside traditional cellular networks. Vertu also offers its 24/7 concierge service for users who need additional support.

Battery, Charging, and Camera Details

The AlphaFold uses a 6,500mAh Silicon-Carbon battery, which can last up to 28 hours under heavy use. The phone supports 65W fast charging, reaching 50% battery in 20 minutes.

The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor and optical image stabilization, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a telephoto module. These cameras provide versatile photography options for users.

Luxury Materials and Customization

Vertu offers several exterior options for the AlphaFold. Choices include stitched calf skin in two colors and alligator skin in seven colors. There are also versions with solid 18K gold, brilliant cut diamonds (G color, VS grade or higher), and alligator skin. The Himalaya Alligator Gold variant is also available.

The hinge cover features a micro-engraved and hand-finished "Clous de Paris" pattern. The hinge itself uses titanium and liquid metal, while the folding screen uses ultra-thin glass (UTG). These materials are common in modern foldable devices.

The Vertu AlphaFold was initially available for pre-order with a $2,000 deposit. It is now available for immediate purchase, starting at nearly $7,000 for the base model. Each version offers different materials and price points, with the most expensive model reaching $34,200.
