Vivo India is set to expand the Vivo T4 series in India with the launch of the Vivo T4R 5G smartphone by the end of this month. The smartphone brand has announced the launch date and design dimensions of this upcoming Vivo smartphone. Based on the information released, the handset is expected to have a similar design to the existing Vivo T4 Ultra, which was launched in the country in June.
In India, the Vivo T4R 5G smartphone will be officially launched on July 31 at 12:00 p.m. IST. The T4R 5G phone will be sold through Vivo India e-store, Flipkart, and select offline retail outlets. During the launch sale, it's expected that the company will offer some price benefits on selected credit card transactions.
Vivo confirmed that the new T4 series smartphone will be equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 7400 SoC. It will also feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary rear sensor, making it an excellent selfie camera phone for Indian users. While other camera details were not shared, Vivo clarified that both front and rear cameras will support up to 4K video recording resolution.
As seen in the promotional image, the upcoming Vivo T4R 5G looks similar to the Vivo T4 Ultra. It features a vertical, pill-shaped camera module located at the top left corner of the back panel. There are two camera sensors placed within a circular slot near the top of the module, and a ring-shaped Aura Light feature positioned below the camera island.
The handset will also feature a quad-curved display with slim and uniform bezels, as well as a centered hole-punch slot for the selfie camera. It places the volume rocker and power button on the upper right side. The Vivo smartphone is said to have an IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, and measures 7.3mm in thickness. According to the company's claim, the Vivo T4R 5G will be the slimmest smartphone in India, featuring a quad-curved display.
Vivo T4R phone can be priced between Rs 15,000 and Rs 20,000 in India, making it a solid option in the already saturated mid-range smartphone category.
