The 4K 16-inch OLED Acer Swift Edge laptop has been unveiled in India. The laptop, according to the manufacturer, is made for consumers who are productivity-focused, and it has a Microsoft Pluton security processor to "defend against more complicated cyberattacks." With a weight of just 1.17 kg, it is also marketed as the lightest 16-inch OLED laptop in the world. For the body, Acer used an alloy material that is 20% lighter and twice as sturdy as conventional aluminium. The AMD Ryzen Pro processor powers the Acer Swift Edge.
The Acer Swift Edge price in India starts from Rs 124999. The laptop is available for purchase on Amazon and Acer’s e-store in India. The Acer laptop is available in a single colour option, which is Olive Black. The package includes a 65 W power delivery charger and a Type C power cord along with the laptop.
Let's start by discussing the design. The aluminium alloy used in the construction of the Acer Swift Edge laptop, according to the manufacturer, is two times stronger and 20% lighter than regular aluminium. It weighs 1.17kg and is 12.95mm thin.
Regarding the display, the recently released laptop has a 16.0-inch OLED WQUXGA screen with a resolution of 3840 x 2400 pixels, 500 nits of peak brightness thanks to Acer CineCrystal, and 100% compatibility for the cinema-grade DCI-P3 colour gamut.
It is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 6800U octa-core processor, which has an effective turbo speed of up to 4.7GHz, and runs 64-bit Windows 11. The Acer Swift Key laptop also features the Microsoft Pluton, AMD Ryzen Pro processor, and biometric authentication, all of which are intended to protect user's private information.
The Acer Swift Edge laptop has 1TB of PCIe Gen4 storage in addition to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM for storage. The laptop also features a front-facing FHD camera with Acer's TNR (Temporal Noise Reduction) technology, which improves image quality even in low light. Acer's PurifiedVoice technology, which provides AI Noise Reduction for video calling, is combined with these images.
In terms of connectivity, the recently released laptop offers Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, a USB Type-C connector, a USB 3.2 port, a USB 3.2 port with power-off charging, and a USB 3.2 port.
Last but not least, the three-cell, 54Wh Lithium-ion battery for the Acer Swift Edge laptop supports a 65W PD AC adaptor.
