Xiaomi has introduced its latest Redmi K-series smartphones in China, the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max. Both devices feature high-end specifications and notable differences in display, camera, and battery capacities.

Key Specifications and Performance

The Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max are powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series chipset. This version uses a binned configuration, with the Adreno 840 GPU running two cores at 1.2GHz, compared to the standard three cores at 1.3GHz. Both models offer up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring strong multitasking and storage capabilities.

Display and Camera Differences

The Redmi K100 Pro features a 6.56-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2,510 x 1,156 pixels) and a 185Hz refresh rate. The K100 Pro Max comes with a larger 6.9-inch AMOLED display, offering a resolution of 2,608 x 1,200 pixels and the same 185Hz refresh rate.

Both phones are equipped with a 200MP main camera using a 1/1.56-inch sensor. The K100 Pro Max includes a 50MP periscope telephoto lens (ISOCELL JN5) with 5x optical zoom, while the K100 Pro has a 2.5x telephoto lens. The Max version also features a 50MP ultrawide (OV50M) lens, compared to the 8MP ultrawide lens on the K100 Pro.

Battery, Charging, and Additional Features

The Redmi K100 Pro is powered by an 8,580mAh Si-C battery, while the Pro Max has a slightly larger 9,070mAh Si-C battery. Both models support 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 27W reverse wired charging. The devices also offer IP66, IP68, and IP69 ingress protection ratings for enhanced durability.

Audio features include a Bose-tuned rear subwoofer on both models. The Redmi K100 Pro is available in volt, white, black, and red color options. The K100 Pro Max comes in blue, white, black, and red.

Potential Global Launch

Based on previous patterns, the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max may launch internationally as the Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra later this year. Last year, the Redmi K90 Pro and K90 Pro Max were rebranded as the Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra for global markets.
