Vivo's teased its next V-series phone, headed to India. A short video on its X account carries the tagline "My Cinematic Moments" — a camera-first phone, clearly. Vivo isn't talking specs yet, but leaks have filled the gaps.

Launch Date

Nothing official, but reports agree it'll land in the first week of October 2026, stepping in for the V70, out since February 2026 at ₹49,999.

What the Teaser Reveals

  • A bold orange finish
  • A triple rear camera with an LED flash
  • ZEISS branding on the camera module
  • Design that still feels unmistakably V-series

Camera: The Headline Feature

This is clearly where Vivo's putting its energy. Leaks point to a 50MP main sensor with a 50MP periscope telephoto offering 3x optical zoom and up to 10x digital portrait zoom, plus a 50MP Eye-AF selfie camera. Also tipped: an AI Creative Camera with 30+ effects, Live Sticker Collage, AI Diwali Portrait 2.0, and 4K Cinematic Video from the X-series flagships.

Battery and Charging

The leak everyone keeps repeating: a 7,200mAh battery, the biggest yet on a V-series phone, up from the V70's 6,500mAh. Some say it's a silicon-carbon cell, paired with 90W fast charging - enough for close to two days of use.

Performance and Display

Word is it'll run on a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 (some leaks say Snapdragon 8s Gen 3), with 8GB or 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Screen's tipped as a 6.59-inch AMOLED, possibly bumped to 144Hz from 120Hz.

Expected Pricing

Rumoured to land between ₹48,000–₹60,000, up from the V70's ₹49,999 — reportedly thanks to rising component costs.

The Bigger Picture

The V80 name's already out there in other forms globally — a rebadged V80 Lite in Pakistan and Bangladesh, a different 10,000mAh V80 Lite in Malaysia, and a rumoured V80 FE in the works. The standard V80 is thought to be a rebrand of China's Vivo S60. Expect more official info, and more leaks, before October.
