Apple to Release the Largest AirPods Yet in 2024

Size of Production:

According to reports, Apple intends to manufacture 20 million to 25 million units of the new AirPods, which would be the company's largest AirPods release to date. It is planned for production to start in May 2024.

Brand-New Models:

The "entry" and "mid-tier" sectors are represented by the codenames B768(E) and B768(M), respectively, for the forthcoming AirPods models. The second- and third-generation AirPods will be replaced by these versions.

Features and Design:

Along with USB-C cases, both new AirPods models are anticipated to have an updated design for a more comfortable fit. The mid-tier variant is expected to cost more and include Find My speakers and active noise cancellation (ANC), which is a first for the non-Pro series of AirPods.

Roadmap for Products:

This year will see improvements to the normal AirPods lineup, but next year will likely bring improvements to the Pro lineup. It has also been stated that Apple is developing a special set of AirPods that will be released later this year and will include low-resolution cameras that can detect the user's surroundings.

Updates to Software:

With iOS 18, Apple is preparing specific software updates to go along with the upcoming AirPods. These changes include a setting for hearing aids and a function designed especially for AirPods users to evaluate their hearing.

Schedule of Launch:

Although an official launch date has not been announced, it is anticipated that the updated AirPods will make their appearance later this year, perhaps in conjunction with the iPhone 16 series.
