Meta has introduced Meta One, a global subscription service that combines its social media apps with enhanced AI features. The service starts at $7.99 per month for individual users. Meta confirms that Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Meta AI will continue to offer a free basic experience. However, users seeking more features and advanced AI tools can now opt for a paid subscription.
Meta One currently offers two plans for individual users: Core and Premium. The Core plan costs $7.99 per month and includes Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus, along with expanded access to Meta AI. Subscribers can generate more images and videos using Meta AI and access additional tools such as Restyle on Instagram.
The Premium plan is priced at $19.99 per month. It includes all Core features and offers even greater access to Meta's AI tools. Meta reports that over half of early testers used both AI and expression features, with tools like Restyle and voice effects on Instagram proving popular.
Meta One also targets creators and businesses with a range of subscription options. The Essential plan starts at $14.99 per month, while the Advanced plan is priced at $49.99 per month. Higher-tier plans, Expert and Max, start at $149 and $499 per month, respectively. These plans are designed for professional use and include additional tools and support.
Depending on the selected plan, subscribers can receive a verified badge, impersonation protection, a bold follow button, enhanced profiles, and increased access to Meta Business Agent on WhatsApp. The Advanced plan adds features such as scheduling Stories up to 30 days ahead, adding links to organic posts and Reels, exportable analytics, and deeper audience insights. Businesses can also grant team members access without sharing passwords.
Meta states that Meta One currently brings together more than 50 features across its apps and Meta AI. The company plans to add more products, including Edits and AI glasses, in the future. The availability, pricing, and specific features of Meta One may vary by region, app, and account type.
Meta had previously offered separate paid subscriptions for Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. Meta One unifies these services and adds expanded AI usage. The company intends to continue expanding Meta One with additional products and AI-powered features over time.
