Apple has rolled out the iOS 18.1 developer beta, featuring Apple Intelligence enhancements like AI-powered call recording, transcription, and a new Siri UI with edge lighting and improved understanding of user inputs. The beta also includes Writing Tools for rewriting and proofreading text, Mail Tools for email summaries and smart replies, and Photo Tools for searching and curating images and videos into stories. The update is currently for developers, with a stable release expected in September alongside the iPhone 16 series. Some features may roll out by October. Additionally, iOS 17.6 has been released with bug fixes and a new "Catch Up" feature in the Apple TV app.
