In February, Vivo launched its flagship V50 smartphone in India with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. According to reports, Vivo is now gearing up to launch another V50 series smartphone called Vivo V50 Elite Edition soon in the Indian market. While the Chinese smartphone brand hasn't confirmed the debut of the V50 Elite phone, an industry report has leaked the details with possible launch dates.
The purported V50 Elite Edition will have a distinctive design compared to the standard variant of the Vivo V50. However, the handset will retain similar specifications, including a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, a 6.77-inch AMOLED display, and a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup.
An industry report highlighted that the Vivo V50 Elite Edition could launch on May 15. The new Elite variant will have a different design compared to the standard model while retaining similar hardware and software specifications as the standard Vivo V50.
If the industry reports are true, the handset will sport a 6.77-inch FHD+ quad-curved AMOLED display. The phone may also have a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
The upcoming Vivo V50 Elite Edition will also pack a dual 50-megapixel rear camera setup and a 50-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. It's expected to have a 6,000mAh battery pack with 90W wired fast charging. The handset will likely have Vivo's Aura Light feature and several AI-enabled photo editing features.
The Vivo V50 series in India includes the entry-level Vivo V50 and Vivo V50e. The upcoming Elite Edition will be the third smartphone in this lineup.
Talking about the standard Vivo V50, the handset was introduced at a price tag of Rs 34,999 for the 8GB + 128GB option, while the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB options were priced at Rs 36,999 and Rs 40,999, respectively.
