AMD Launches Ryzen 7 5800X3D Anniversary & 7700X3D at Computex 2026.
AMD unveils the Ryzen 7 5800X3D Anniversary Edition for AM4, the $329 Ryzen 7 7700X3D for AM5, and launches the Radeon RX 9070 GRE globally.

AMD unveiled three new products at Computex 2026. The announcement includes a re-released CPU, a scaled-down processor, and a graphics card expanding to global markets. These launches highlight AMD's ongoing support for both AM4 and AM5 platforms.

Key Highlights

  • AMD reintroduces Ryzen 7 5800X3D Anniversary Edition for AM4 with Carbice Ice Pad at $349.
  • Ryzen 7 7700X3D debuts as a scaled-back 7800X3D variant for AM5 at $329.
  • Radeon RX 9070 GRE graphics card launches globally with 12GB GDDR6 memory at $549.

Ryzen 7 5800X3D Returns

The Ryzen 7 5800X3D, first introduced with AMD's 3D V-Cache technology, is making a comeback. Originally discontinued in 2024 after two years, this CPU is based on the AM4 platform and supports DDR4 memory. The 5800X3D now features an Anniversary Edition badge to mark the AM4 platform's 10-year anniversary. Each package includes a Carbice Ice Pad, which serves as a thermal pad replacing traditional thermal compounds. The processor is priced at $349, which is $100 less than its original launch price. However, it was often available for less during previous sales. The Ryzen 7 5800X3D Anniversary Edition will be available for purchase starting June 25.

Ryzen 7 7700X3D Launches

AMD also introduced the Ryzen 7 7700X3D. This processor is a scaled-back version of the Ryzen 7 7800X3D released in 2023. The 7700X3D offers a 4.5GHz boost clock, down from 5GHz, and a 4GHz base clock, reduced from 4.2GHz. All other specifications remain the same as the 7800X3D. The 7700X3D is priced at $329. It uses the AM5 platform, which requires DDR5 memory. The Ryzen 7 7700X3D will be available starting July 16. AMD also confirmed that the AM5 platform will receive support through 2029.

Radeon RX 9070 GRE Goes Global

AMD is expanding the Radeon RX 9070 GRE graphics card to global markets. The GRE, or Golden Rabbit Edition, was previously exclusive to China. The RX 9070 GRE features 48 compute units, eight fewer than the standard RX 9070, but it has a higher clock speed of 2220MHz, about 200MHz more. The card includes 12GB of GDDR6 memory, a 192-bit memory interface, and 18Gbps bandwidth. AMD reports that the RX 9070 GRE delivers 21% faster performance on average compared to the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB. The graphics card is priced at $549 and will be available for purchase on June 2.
