Poco has expanded its mid-range smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Poco M8 5G. The new handset focuses on display quality, durability, and long-term software support, while keeping pricing under ₹22,000. Sales will begin next week via Flipkart, with early bank offers available.
The Poco M8 5G is priced competitively across three storage variants:
Buyers can avail an instant ₹2,000 bank discount using ICICI, HDFC, or SBI cards. Poco is also offering an additional ₹1,000 launch discount for purchases made within the first 12 hours of sale.
The phone will go on sale starting January 13, exclusively via Flipkart, and will be available in Carbon Black, Glacial Blue, and Frost Silver color options.
The Poco M8 5G features a 6.77-inch full-HD+ 3D curved display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,200 nits, making it suitable for outdoor use. It also supports Wet Touch 2.0, allowing basic operation even with wet fingers.
Powering the device is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. Poco claims an AnTuTu score of over 8.25 lakh, placing it well within the upper mid-range segment.
The phone runs on Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0, with Poco promising four years of OS updates and six years of security patches, which is uncommon at this price point.
On the camera front, the Poco M8 5G gets a 50MP primary rear camera paired with a 2MP secondary sensor, while selfies are handled by a 20MP front camera. The phone supports 4K video recording and includes an in-display fingerprint sensor.
It packs a 5,520 mAh battery with 45 W wired fast charging and also supports 18 W reverse wired charging. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, and USB Type-C.
With a curved AMOLED display, solid performance, strong durability ratings, and extended software support, the Poco M8 5G positions itself as a well-rounded option in the sub-₹22,000 segment. The launch offers and clean hardware choices make it a practical upgrade for users looking for a future-ready 5G phone without crossing into premium pricing.
