Nothing, the London-based smartphone manufacturer, appears to be preparing to launch a new smartphone series in India. The company is known for its flagship devices and the A series, which targets the mid-range segment. Recent teasers suggest a new B series may soon join the lineup, potentially aimed at budget-conscious Indian consumers.
Earlier this week, the main Nothing account released a teaser featuring the letter "(b)", sparking speculation about a new product line. Following this, Nothing India posted a short video with the caption "(b)usted". This video offered the first glimpse of the device, displaying several of Nothing's signature design elements. These include a transparent rear panel with visible internal components and a single rear camera setup. The device, possibly named Phone 4b, could be positioned alongside the existing A series, targeting a different audience and price segment.
Nothing has not yet confirmed a launch date for the new device. However, the frequency of teasers indicates that an official announcement may be imminent. The company has previously focused on delivering innovative designs and features in its smartphones, and the new series could continue this trend.
Nothing's founder recently addressed the company's product strategy in response to rising memory prices. He confirmed that a successor to the Phone 2 Pro was in development but was ultimately canceled. The decision was based on the inability to deliver meaningful upgrades at a competitive price point. As a result, Nothing will not launch a new CMF phone this year. It remains unclear if these comments refer to the rumored Phone 4b, but the possibility exists.
Nothing has also shared images of two Pokémon characters, Jumpluff and Blastoise, on social media. The company often uses Pokémon codenames for its devices, suggesting new products are in development. Rumors indicate that Blastoise may be the codename for the next Nothing smartphone, while Jumpluff could refer to the upcoming Nothing Ear 3a wireless earbuds.
Previous leaks about the CMF Phone 3 Pro suggested it would feature upgraded materials, a metal frame, and a redesigned camera module. Reports from AndroidHeadlines indicated the device might use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset and include a 5,500mAh battery. However, recent information from tipster Yogesh Brar suggests this device could now launch under the Nothing brand, with a possible release in India next month.
Nothing continues to generate interest with its unique design language and strategic product launches. The company has not confirmed specific details about the new B series device, but ongoing teasers and leaks point to an imminent announcement targeting the Indian market.
