Vivo Y400 5G smartphone is scheduled to make its debut in India early next month. Along with the launch date of its latest 5G phone in India, the Chinese smartphone brand also revealed the color options. The promotional image released hints that the upcoming Vivo smartphone will have a dual rear camera setup and join the existing Vivo Y400 Pro 5G, which was launched in June. Also, the 4G variant of this series is expected to debut in select markets on the same day.

Vivo Y400 5G India Launch Date & Specifications

Vivo Y400 5G is set to be introduced in India on August 4, as stated in the official press release. The smartphone will come in two color variants: Glam White and Olive Green. Promotional images suggest that it will feature a dual rear camera system, highlighted by a vertical pill-shaped camera module.

The primary camera is placed in the squircle module, while the secondary camera is positioned in a smaller squircle slot, and the Aura Light is located towards the bottom of the island. A pill-shaped LED flash unit is also placed beside the rear camera island.

On the right edge, the phone has a volume rocker and a power button. According to recent reports, the device is expected to feature a 6,000mAh battery and support 90W fast charging. It is said to be certified for IP68 and IP69 ratings, ensuring resistance to water and dust. The upcoming Vivo 5G smartphone in India is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

The international version of the Vivo Y400 is set to be launched on the same day. It will be equipped with a 6,000mAh battery, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 primary camera, and a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it is expected to have an IP68 and IP69 rating for protection against dust and water. The smartphone will support AI features like Google’s Circle to Search, AI Transcript Assist, AI Notes Summary, AI Captions, and AI Documents.

Previously, the Vivo Y400 Pro 5G smartphone was launched in India with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, a 6.77-inch 120Hz FHD+ curved AMOLED display, a 50-megapixel dual rear camera, and a 5,500mAh battery pack. The smartphone is available in 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants, priced at Rs 24,999 and Rs 26,999, respectively.
