Dell has introduced new laptops targeting both gamers and professionals. The company unveiled the Alienware 15 gaming laptop and the Dell 14S and Dell 16S AI-powered productivity laptops. These launches follow Dell's recent revival of its XPS range. The new devices focus on performance, portability, AI features, and battery life, while maintaining premium design and build quality.
Alienware laptops have traditionally catered to users with high budgets. The flagship Area-51 models can cost up to Rs 5 lakh, and the Alienware 16 Aurora often exceeds Rs 2 lakh in India. With the Alienware 15, Dell aims to make its gaming laptops more accessible. The Alienware 15 starts at $1,299 globally for the AMD variant, which is about Rs 1.24 lakh before taxes and duties.
The Alienware 15 offers multiple chipset options, including AMD Ryzen 7 260 and Intel Core 7 240H. Graphics are powered by Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5060, RTX 5050, or RTX 4050 GPUs, all with DLSS support. The laptop features a 15.3-inch WUXGA display with a 165Hz refresh rate and a 16:10 aspect ratio. Dell has simplified the design by removing the bulky rear thermal shelf and adding a 180-degree hinge for a cleaner profile. India pricing and availability for the Alienware 15 have not been announced yet.
Dell also launched the Dell 14S and Dell 16S laptops, which are slim, AI-powered devices for creators, professionals, and students. Both laptops use Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, up to the Intel Core Ultra 9 386H. They deliver up to 50 TOPS NPU performance for on-device AI workloads. AMD Ryzen AI 400 Series processors are also available as options.
The Dell 14S and 16S feature slim aluminium builds, measuring 15.3mm thick. The 14S weighs 1.45kg, while the 16S weighs 1.76kg. They come in Celestial Blue and Frost Blue color options. The Dell 14S offers up to 24 hours of productivity battery life and up to 18 hours of streaming. The Dell 16S provides up to 26 hours of streaming and up to 14 hours of productivity use.
Display options include FHD+ and QHD+ panels with up to 120Hz refresh rates, as well as OLED screens with Dolby Vision and 100 percent DCI-P3 color coverage. Both laptops feature Dolby Atmos-tuned speakers. The Dell 14S starts at $1,269.99 (about Rs 1,21,832), and the Dell 16S starts at $1,319.99. Dell has not yet shared India pricing or launch dates for these models.
