Oppo Reno 16 Series Set for India Launch With New Camera Accessory and Enco Air 5

​Oppo is preparing to launch the Reno 16 series in India, following its debut in China last month. The new lineup focuses on design and camera features and will include multiple variants. Alongside the Reno 16 series, Oppo will introduce the Bubble camera accessory and the Oppo Enco Air 5 wireless earbuds. The company is also offering a privilege pack for Rs 9 as part of the launch campaign. This pack includes three coupons: an Rs 800 exchange discount, an Rs 1,000 discount on the Oppo Pad SE, a free pair of Oppo Enco Buds 3 Pro, and a Reno 16 series phone case. Reno 16 Series Expected Features

Oppo has not officially confirmed which Reno 16 models will launch in India. However, based on the Chinese portfolio, at least two variants are expected: Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro. The Reno 16 Pro is likely to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, while the standard Reno 16 may have a 6.32-inch 1.5K OLED panel. Both models could offer a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 1,800 nits peak brightness.

The Reno 16 Pro may use MediaTek's Dimensity 9500s processor, while the Reno 16 could run on the Dimensity 8550 Super chip. Both phones are expected to offer up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB UFS 3.1 storage. They will likely run Android 16-based ColorOS 16 out of the box.

Camera and Battery Details

Both Reno 16 models may share the same camera system. This could include a triple rear setup with a 200-megapixel OIS-enabled main camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with up to 3.5x optical zoom. The front camera is expected to be a 50-megapixel shooter on both models, supporting video recording up to 4K at 60fps.

Battery capacity may differ between the two variants. The Reno 16 Pro could feature a 7,000mAh battery, while the Reno 16 may have a 6,700mAh cell. Both devices are expected to support 80W wired fast charging.

New Accessories and Additional Launches

Oppo is also introducing the Bubble camera accessory in India. The Bubble is a small circular AMOLED touchscreen that attaches magnetically to the back of a phone. This accessory allows users to turn the rear camera into a selfie camera by providing a live preview on the display. This feature helps users frame selfies more accurately using the main camera.

In addition to the Bubble, Oppo will launch the Enco Air 5 wireless earbuds. The privilege pack offered during the launch includes discounts and free accessories for early buyers.
